Set up an AI assistant for an aging parent
If you're helping an aging parent keep up with bills, appointments and a steady stream of scam calls, this guide turns a personal AI agent on their phone into a patient helper that's there when you can't be.
It's written for the person doing the setup. You install the agent on their phone, say one line, and approve each step together.
guide.studio/parentFreeBefore you start
- A personal agent installed on their phone, not yours.
- You, sitting next to them while it sets up.
If you start on your own phone, the agent will suggest moving to their, since that's where the help needs to live.
What it sets up
Bills
Keeps a list of bills and due dates and sends reminders. They always approve and pay.
Calendar
Keeps track of appointments and reminds them ahead of time.
Reads and explains emails, and drafts replies they approve before anything is sent.
Ask Anything
Phone and tech help in plain words, one step at a time.
Scam Check
Checks a suspicious text, call or email, and knows when to say "call your family."
Morning brief
Optional: a short message each morning with today's appointments, bills due soon and important email.
Works with
Personal agents that remember, connect to email and calendar, and ask before acting. Regular AI chat apps and Siri can't finish this setup.
- Meta's Muse
- Grok Bot
- Claude Duet
- ChatGPT dots
- OpenClaw
The privacy promise
Never asks for passwords, card numbers, account numbers or bank logins.
Answers stay with the agent on their phone. Nothing is sent to guide.studio or anyone else.
The agent asks before it saves, connects or schedules anything.
Anything that sends a message or pays a bill needs their OK first.
Questions
Is this a way to monitor my parent?
No. It's set up with them, with their OK, on their own account. It's a helper for them, not a way to watch them, and they can see, change or remove anything it saves.
What will it never do?
It never asks for passwords, PINs, card or bank numbers, never pays bills, and never sends, buys or adds anything without reading it back and getting their OK.
Which apps does it work with?
Personal AI agents that remember, work in the background and connect to email and calendar, like Meta's Muse, Grok Bot, Claude Duet, ChatGPT dots and OpenClaw. Regular chat apps and Siri can't finish the setup.
The guide your agent reads
When you say the line, the agent opens guide.studio/parent. That address is the guide itself, as plain text written for the agent: what to explain first, the questions to ask one at a time, and how to set up each step safely.
